This Hayden upper extension wand fits old and new styles.
See the additional picture to see the top portion of the wand. Make sure yours looks identical where the cord is inserted.

The cord measures 28 inches long from the plastic mounting to the end of the cord.

The new telescopic wand adjust fully from 22 inches to 39 inches in 1 inch increments. The latching mechanism is a positive ratchet giving a firmer lock into the desired height allowing the tool to be resized on the fly for the user. 

The latching system is internally sealed from the dirt control tube for perfect air-flow with no catches and the hose end features button-down collar for quick and easy connections. 
Fits most button lock vacuum hoses, 1.25" size (32mm). 

It has a plastic cord channel on top of it that receives any size electric cord with two beveled edges

Cord Channel Upper Wand

Includes button lock hole on top and button lock nipple on the bottom. 

A cord channel holds the electric power brush cord in place for connection to an electric vacuum hose.

Fits into the lower wand (see below)
